Race Start Times

09:30 10k race

09:50 5k race

IMPORTANT – Please bring your own water to run with. There will be water at the race finish for all runners and at the medical stations, but we recommend runners bring their own water for the race. Please arrive in good time for your race and revisit this page for updates on all races – adult and child.

We usually offer an optional five-minute warm up to music before the 5k and 10k races, at 9.15am, this is to be confirmed.

Staggered start – 10K only – runners should join in the correct area for their pre-selected race finish time.
5K and 10K races start and finish in Priory Park. Both follow the same route, with the 10k a double lap of the 5k. To view map click 5k and 10k route map

Road Closure – Once again we have obtained a Traffic Management Order (TMO) to close off Priory Road from 9.30-11.00am, from Middle Lane roundabout to the traffic lights at the bottom of Muswell Hill Road; thus ensuring safety and facility for the runners exiting and entering Priory Park and running down Priory Road. We also have a TMO to close off Park Avenue North for 40 mins from 9.30-10.10am. This is to ease the flow of runners and prevent too much congestion at the start of the course and as the runners leave Park Avenue North via the alleyway and into Northview Road.

The 5k and 10k route is marshalled by a large voluntary team of marshals from London Heathside Athletics club who help direct runners around the 10k course. Also in attendance are CSP (Combined Service Provider) marshals who specialise in traffic management and road closures. Both these groups of marshals are there for your safety, so please pay attention to their directions. To enable runners to heed marshal guidance we advise runners not to wear headphones, unless Bone Conductor headphones.

5K and 10K Prize Giving –  For both races will take place on the Fun Run race stage at 10.45am.

Information Tent – Opens at 8:30am and is situated just behind the Fun Run Stage.

Baggage Tent – Opens at 8:30am – runners may leave their belongings at the baggage area free of charge, with bags are left at their owners’ risk. Loose items will not be taken so please have a suitable bag with you.

Changing Facilities – No facilities are available in the park, however they are available at the YMCA London CAN Fitness Centre which is a 1km away, on the corner of Elmfield Avenue and Tottenham Lane, N8.

The children’s 1 mile Fun Run is a figure of eight circuit completely contained within Priory Park. The races are marshalled every year by kind volunteers. To view the 1 mile route map click here.

Cardiac Safety
UK Athletics Limited are the licencing body for our event, and as such we want to pass on this information for all runners in our 10km and 1 mile events.
“UKA is alert to its responsibility to all participants in athletics in respect of all aspects of health and safety. One particular area that young athletes and their parents must be aware of is the risk of cardiac problems. UKA has worked with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) for several years, providing a screening service to athletes on the World Class Performance Programme. UKA and CRY are now seeking to encourage more athletes to use CRY’s screening service to help to identify any cardiac problems that may be otherwise hidden. Full information about CRY and their services can be found on their website at https://www.c-r-y.org.uk. Young people between the age of 14 and 35 who would like to have cardiac testing can go to www.testmyheart.org.”
